With an explosive mixture of Electro House, Progressive House and Dutch House, DJ Selecta is having fans and friends of electronic Clubmusic in all of Europe in a dancing frenzy. He is a resident-DJ in Austria‘s biggest clubs, enjoying bookings for numerous first-choice events, and has also already made his mark internationally by exciting crowds with impressive live-sets and productions full of adrenalin. All this leaves DJ Selecta with only one way to go – to the very top!
Born in Austria he began to set the course towards a career in music early on. He played a number of instruments by the tender age of ten and developed a first passion playing classical music on his keyboard. Whether it was Daft Punk, ATB or Mauro Picotto – different varieties of electronic music soon made a permanent mark, ignited an initial spark and finally triggered off his passion for House, Electro and sounds of that sort. Therefore, the decision to invest into equipment and to learn the art of mixing was made. A deep technical and musical understanding and a strong sensibility for the crowd let this young talent stand out. And this was underlined by success: at the age of 16 Selecta started playing his DJ-sets in the clubs all over the country.
With virtousic ’Special Live Looping’ and significant scratching skills, DJ Selecta continues to impress clubowners and promoters, and established himself with club visitors as a guaranteed source for a fantastic night out. In his energetic sets, soundwise placed between Avicii, Afrojack and Fedde Le Grand, he always relies on his musical instincts. He lets the crowd inspire him, and creates anticipation in order to excite each and every one listening. Numerous releases and remixes for well-known Dance Acts like Marko van Bassken, Brooklyn Bounce or Brisby & Jungles stress his position as an in demand producer. In 2011 he had a clubhit with his solo-release “36 Degrees“, and his remix of “Kokah“ by Sven Nielsen reached top positions in the Dance Charts and was released on a number of compilations. In early 2012 Selecta received a lot of attention for his remix of the Club Allstars-Version of “Power To The People“ by Austria’s Beatboxer #1 Fii, which gave the track another massive dose of club-appeal.
